| Here is the site plan that has been chosen. The house is
the building we meet in today. As you can see, the parking lot would straddle
the property line between the two lots, and the new church building would
be placed about where the smaller of the two rental houses used to stand.
The dotted lines extending from the new building are possible expansion
footprints, though we could also extend the wings to the southwest, towards
the street.
This view best shows the orientation of the sanctuary, with its western windows facing the orchard and the meadow at the back of the property. This was a primary consideration in placing the new building. We have no plans at present to demolish the house and garage, leaving potential for community outreach programs or housing for full-time ministerial personnel. The parking lot could then serve both the church and whatever activity we use the house for. |
