Threads of HopeThreads of Hope assists the economically oppressed in under-developed countries to establish home enterprises that will provide an income, through the development of products that can be sold world-wide. Funds generated through sales and donations will primarily be used to help meet the physical, educational and spiritual needs of the communities where the products are made.

Open TableOpen Table is an innovative program to help people escape poverty through the power of community. Congregation members form a “Table” and work with a Brother or Sister in poverty for about a year, contributing their vocational and life experiences to help these individuals transform their lives.

Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services (LARS)- Laurel, MDLARS’ mission is to enable homeless and low-income people in Laurel who are in crisis to achieve stability and long-term self-sufficiency. We envision a community that treats all people with dignity and helps all its members meet their basic needs.

Friendship Place- Washington DCFriendship Place is a leader in Washington, DC, in developing solutions to homelessness that have demonstrable results and a lasting impact. Our innovative, customized, person-focused programs empower participants to rebuild their lives, find homes, get jobs and reconnect with friends, family and the community, permanently. Our goal is to end homelessness in Washington, DC, and to lead the way in modeling how this can be done in other parts of the country.
